Here's a little secret: I have been de-training over the winter. I have been running consistently, but just haven't had the leisure time to do anything over an hour or so. Those 13-15 mile runs I was doing last summer are a hazy memory.
But I just got back from my first 10-miler of the season--from the Sellwood New Seasons out the Springwater Corridor to SE 92nd, and back. I was super-pleased to find I did it in 2 hours exactly. Not a world-class time by any means, but awesome for slow old me on that distance for the first time this year.
On an unrelated note, every bone, muscle, joint, tendon, organ, and cartilage in my body hurts.
