There's More than One Way To Burn Some Calories

Don't know if snowshoeing is as good a workout as they say, but I do know that a couple of hours and just a couple of miles definitely kicked the butts of the three snowshoers who hit the slopes of Mt. Hood yesterday. By the end of the day, we were all pretty monosyllabic with tiredness.

The next time we vowed to bring along poles, a Pomeranian, and a sled (although I fear with a sled, I'll be burning even more calories, since the smallest member of our party will undoubtedly wish to be pulled in it the whole way.

Not having a pomeranian always keeps me from snow shoeing. Good on you for making a go of it without one.
